The Unit had taken-up design & development of a modem for Internet Access via Cable Network. The objective of this project was to develop a modem which can be integrated with existing cable network to provide faster Internet Access to consumer at low cost. While designing the modem special consideration has given to suit the local noisy environment in the cable networks. The modem has undergone successful field trials and mass production is underway. This modem will enable the poor sections of the society to have access to Internet services at affordable cost.
