This is an introductory course into the e-security concepts and applications ,whereby the goal is to provide

knowledge on e-security concepts, generate foundation level knowledge and to provide understanding of the e-security measures/solutions available and their usage

The major focus of the contents is to include case studies to have an in-depth explanation of the design & implementation aspects of the security concepts , where the case studies would be illustrating the mathematical concepts & crypto algorithms usage in the e-security concepts.

Levels of security
Types of threats
Introduction to cryptography and security measures
Cyber laws

For Whom ????

The course is intended for Post graduate/eng. students pursuing their degrees in various Engg. colleges ,academic institutes & Government organizations who are unable to attend full time programmes or formal education programmes of very long duration.

Pre-requisite knowledge of any programming language such as C,C++,Java,.Net would be added advantage for clearer understanding of the case studies,given at the end of each module.
