Project Brief

Development of a National Online Examination System (NOES) within India was a NASCOMM recommendation which, Department of IT, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has implemented through the Centre of Development of Advanced Computing. The purpose of such endeavor was to design and develop a robust, fault tolerant, secure, scalable and an adaptive examination system through which examinations can be delivered on an "on demand" basis in selected examination centers spread across the country. The users of the system include IT organizations who would conduct their recruitment exams online, Societies like DOEACC, NASSCOM , CDAC, UPSC etc who would like to conduct their exams like CCA,NAT, JRF respectively in an Online fashion. Universities and agencies like CBSE can also use this examination system for implementing continuous evaluation mechanisms where the requirement for conducting examinations if very frequent.
